Autumn

Autumn is upon us and Miss Gallagher is looking for some autumn inspired art, photos, drawings, leaves and anything else you can find to create a display in class. Please bring in your creations and findings into class.

Farm visit

What a wonderful time we had on our farm visit last week. P3a went to Whitmuir organic farm in West Linton. We had great fun learning about chickens, pigs and we dug up lots of potatoes. Read our recounts for more information.

Monday 7 September 2015

Vegetables galore!

Wow, what a colourful surprise Miss Gallagher got this morning when Ollie came into class with a basket full of amazing fruit and veg from his allotment. The boys share a plot at their local allotment and were so proud of their crop. Miss Gallagher was very impressed!

Wheat

We are learning about Food and Farming. Last week we were learning about food that comes from plants and which part of the plant the food comes from! We all got the chance to feel the wheat and pull out the grains. We loved doing this despite it being rather fiddly (and messy)!

3 superstars

Well done to the boys for receiving a trophy for their commitment to the cricket team.

Problem solving in p3a

We worked with a partner to do so me problem solving. It was tricky but we used our thinking brains to work it out together!
