The children loved participating in 'Loose Parts' Outdoor Learning this week with Louise Caldwell, City of Edinburgh Play Development Officer. Despite the wet weather, the children enjoyed imaginative play using recycled materials. What great fun was had by all!

P2A and P5A Buddy Up for Loose Parts Outdoor Learning

Joyful scenes in the playground this week during 'Loose Parts' Outdoor Learning with Louise Caldwell, City of Edinburgh Play Development Officer and Kerry from Playbox, giving our children the opportunity to express themselves through self-directed play. Ms Christie timetabled sessions for buddy classes and more photographs can be found on the Class Pages.

The idea behind 'Loose Parts' Outdoor Learning is to provide play opportunities using recycled materials or 'loose parts' (e.g., tyres, garden canes, tarpaulin, traffic cones).Wonderful to see the children co-operating so well to construct together with imagination soaring!
